Today, I discovered this Etsy shop and ordered the most delightful print:
Isn't this just precious? I couldn't resist this because it reminds me of my little princess who just can never pass up a carousel without a ride. Also, the story of Ava, the little princess who inspired Mandy to create these limited prints, reminded me of my princess and made me realize that I need to cherish every moment. Because you just never know when it will be the last.

Hmm, Oprah, really?
Now, I really wouldn't mind being compared to Yasmine Bleeth, or Lynda Carter, but do I really look that much like Oprah? I have to question the validity of that Celebrity look a like result!

Mindless Monday Question
When I am driving in a parking garage, why do I always duck? Does that somehow help the roof of the car clear the ceiling of the garage?

Yearbook Time Travel
Here is something different. Try Yearbooking yourself, it is fun and easy! Not to mention completely hysterical. I almost spit my coffee out this morning doing these pictures.
This is me in
1996:
In the 1960 photo, I think I actually look a little like my mom (she had cat eye glasses!)
It is amazing how much a hairstyle can make you look like a completely different person. Wow.
Here are a couple more blogs with yearbooking yourself photos:
If you do this, please link it in the comments so we can all go see!

Time for a New Post
I'll admit it's been a while since I've written anything here. Not that I haven't thought about it, but that's about as far as it seems to get. I always get great ideas for posts while I'm in the shower, or driving, or doing anything that makes it totally inconvenient to write it down, and later when I'm sitting in front of the computer, all those great ideas are no where to be found.
Whenever I sit to compose, a few things happen. As soon as I start to type, that's when the interruptions start. Princess needs a piece of paper. She usually climbs on my desk and somehow standing just next to the keyboard manages to get the paper and then climbs back down. This is usually followed by another expedition to climb up again and get a pencil. Only the pencils are in a coffee cup in the cabinet just above my head. So I stop and help her, if only to save myself from a serious head wound.
I begin to type again, slightly irritated but still hopeful I can get this finished. It's but less than a minute when one of the boys comes over to tell me a lengthy story, of which cannot wait until I'm finished. I patiently turn from the computer and listen as he goes on and on (and on and on....) until I've completely forgotten what it was I came to write.
So I get a new cup of coffee and sit down to start again. As soon as I get a few letters on the page, the other boy comes in to ask where x,y,z (insert any item) is. Then I get up and find it and sit back down. Start to type. The dogs spot something out the window and start going nuts, barking and jumping around.
I get up again to find out what is causing all the commotion. A man walking his dog, which happens every day but just happens to happen right now while I'm trying to type.
While I'm away from the computer, the kids decide they want to use it, so they sit down and close out my window (of course, it isn't saved, but there wasn't much there anyway)
I know, do you see where this is going?
If blogging is an exercise in frustration, then I would get an "A".

Tag You're It!
RULES:
Post these rules on your blog.
Answer these 15 questions about yourself on your blog.
Tag five people at the end of your post by leaving their names.
Here it is:
JOYS:
1. Attending Sunday Mass
2. Getting a phone call from a friend
3. Hugs from my kids
FEARS:
1. Snakes
2. Spiders
3. Burgulars
GOALS:
1. Learn to use my embroidery sewing machine
2. Organize my craft room
3. Lose 10 lbs.
OBSESSIONS/COLLECTIONS:
1. I am a huge Fr. Corapi and Scott Hahn fan. It’s difficult for me to pick just one, since both of these men are absolutely amazing!! I have read just about every book by Scott Hahn, and listened to many of Fr. Corapi’s tapes.
2. I have a collection of rosaries from around the world. Fatima, Lourdes, Notre Dame, Jerusalem, Phillipines, Mexico-- as well as many other rosaries from the Missionary Oblates and some antique rosaries as well. I started making my own and finished my first one recently.
3. I have a book obsession, there are currently about 20 books on my nightstand, and many more in boxes and bookshelves. I love going to the bookstore and the library!
RANDOM SURPRISING FACTS ABOUT ME:
1. I have had my thyroid removed about 10 years ago
2. I had my first two children completely natural, and the third I had an epidural. After doing it both ways, I preferred the natural over the epidural.
3. I am fairly good at trivia games
TAGGED: Blondie, whom I've known for a long time online, my new friend Sarah at Frills, Fluff and Trucks; Katydiddy, another great blog I love to visit; and since I don't really know two other bloggers who haven't already done this, then if you are reading this and haven't yet but would like to do this, consider yourself tagged!
